1934 Sanford Pumper

Purchased in 1934 by the newly formed Newark Valley Fire District Board. The purchase price was $4199.56. This piece of fire apparatus was placed on a 1 1/2 ton Ford chassis. The body of the engine was purchased from Sanford Fire Apparatus Co. in Syracuse, NY. it included a pump, reel, ladders, 150 gallon water tank, 3 lengths of suction hose, fire extinguishers, 900 feet of 2 1/2" hose and 300 feet of 1 1/2" hose.
